You may have used some kinds of tools or resources to improve your quality of work. For example, YouTuber use tools for editing. Though, some people can edit without specific tools. At that time, people get habited to it without using their minds because they don’t need to work hard. At that time, they can't see themselves growing and their skills improving, it's because they can't even know they can improve without tools and resources.

But circumstances make them do quality work without those helps, and they learn to do even better work without getting helped by the resources they used. What did I observe is that a time comes when they have to manage without some resources and tools for improving the quality of their work. At that time, people do even better than before (when they used tools and resources) because of the risks to their work and because of their ability that they come to know after they do it.
